  • Deborah Morgan wrote an article about the GO project in the Literacies Journal (Spring 2008). You can read this article online at:
  • Dr. Pat Fahy and Diana Twiss submitted an article on the GO research results to the Journal of Applied Research in Learning. We are awaiting publication information.
  • Articles about the Getting Online project were included in the newsletters and e-communiqués of various literacy organizations, for example: Movement for Canadian Literacy; Literacy BC; the Ontario Literacy Coalition, and Community Literacy of Ontario.
  • GO information was also posted on various websites and blogs.

GO Newsletters

Four Getting Online newsletters were written and widely circulated across Canada. GO newsletter were prepared in December 2007; July 2008; November 2008 and April 2009. As well, a general project backgrounder was prepared in July 2008 to introduce stakeholders to the Getting Online project.

Project Evaluation

Dr. Patrick J. Fahy, Professor, Centre for Distance Education, Athabasca University, served as the Lead Evaluator for the Getting Online Project.

Dr. Fahy provided consultation on research planning, design of survey tools, interpretation of project findings, and review of research results and reports. Dr. Fahy also played a key role by serving as Lead Evaluator, Principal Investigator and University Liaison.
